What is the Panhandle Prevention Coalition?

The Panhandle Prevention Coalition (PPC) is a part of the Panhandle Partnership. We are a regional coalition united together by passion and dedication to make residents of western Nebraska healthy and safe across their lifespan. 

PPC Vision and Mission

PPC Vision: The Panhandle Prevention Coalition (PPC) is a part of the Panhandle Partnership. We are a regional coalition united together by passion and dedication to make residents of western Nebraska healthy and safe across their lifespan 

 

PPC Mission: To Foster a Resilient and Thriving Community by Enhancing a Comprehensive Prevention System through Education, Early Intervention and Community Partnerships

Goals:

Reduce the impact of substance misuse and abuse including:

  • Underage drinking
  • Binge drinking
  • Drinking and driving
  • Tobacco use
  • Drug use, including prescription drugs

Increase community supports for mental health, suicide prevention, and behavioral health.
